Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how the garden design tool handles your yard photo, and how requests you send through our “Get free yard help” form are shared with local landscaping professionals.
What we collect
- Email signups (planting tips / buy-intent): your email address.
- Landscape-pro requests: your email, an optional free-text description of your project, and an optional area/city.
- Garden design tool (/design): the yard photo you upload, any notes you add about areas of your yard, and the designs and pictures we make from them.
- Accounts: if you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. Signing in does not add you to our mailing list.
- Usage analytics: product analytics (pages viewed, features used) via PostHog. If you give us your email or sign in, your analytics activity is linked to it so we can recognize you across visits and devices. We do not sell analytics data.
How we use it & who we share it with
Email signups are stored with our email provider (EmailOctopus) to send Colorado planting tips you can unsubscribe from at any time.
If you save your garden, your plant list (not your email) is stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare), keyed to a private link we email you, so you can restore it on any device. Saving a garden this way doesn’t need an account. Saved gardens are kept for up to 12 months and are removed when you choose “Clear all”.
Landscape-pro requests are a referral service. When you submit the “Get free yard help” form, we share your request (email, description, area) with one or more local landscaping professionals so they can contact you about your project. We may receive a fee from those pros. Under the Colorado Privacy Act this sharing may be considered a “sale” of personal data. We are a referral service, not a contractor; we don’t perform the work or guarantee results.
Your yard photo and designs
Your photo. When you upload a yard photo, we store it with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and delete it automatically after 2 days. To make your picture, we send the photo, plus any notes you add, to Replicate, which runs the image models (such as Google’s Nano Banana). To estimate the size of the areas you mark, we send the photo to Google’s Gemini. Their own terms cover what they keep.
Your designs. The pictures we make and the designs you save are kept so you can come back to them. A free preview without an account isn’t linked to your name or email. If you share a design, anyone with the link can see it.
Without an account. You can try one free preview without signing in. To keep that fair, Cloudflare Turnstile checks you’re not a bot, and we keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address to count free previews per day.
Your account. Accounts run on Supabase, which stores your email, your Google sign-in details and your saved designs. If you buy render credits, Stripe handles the payment; we never see your card number, and we keep a record of what you bought.
Your choices / opt out
You can opt out of having your information shared or sold, request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we’ll honor the request. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link in every message.
You can delete your account yourself from the account menu on the design page. That removes your designs, pictures and photos. It doesn’t touch your mailing list subscription or analytics history, so email us if you want those removed too.
