Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and, importantly, how requests you send through our “Get free yard help” form are shared with local landscaping professionals.
What we collect
- Email signups (planting tips / buy-intent): your email address.
- Landscape-pro requests: your email, an optional free-text description of your project, and an optional area/city.
- Usage analytics: product analytics (pages viewed, features used) via PostHog. If you give us your email, your analytics activity is linked to it so we can recognize you across visits and devices. We do not sell analytics data.
How we use it & who we share it with
Email signups are stored with our email provider (EmailOctopus) to send Colorado planting tips you can unsubscribe from at any time.
If you save your garden, your plant list (not your email) is stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare), keyed to a private link we email you, so you can restore it on any device. There is no account or password. Saved gardens are kept for up to 12 months and are removed when you choose “Clear all”.
Landscape-pro requests are a referral service. When you submit the “Get free yard help” form, we share your request (email, description, area) with one or more local landscaping professionals so they can contact you about your project. We may receive a fee from those pros. Under the Colorado Privacy Act this sharing may be considered a “sale” of personal data. We are a referral service, not a contractor; we don’t perform the work or guarantee results.
Your choices / opt out
You can opt out of having your information shared or sold, request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we’ll honor the request. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link in every message.
Retention & contact
We keep lead and signup data only as long as needed to provide the service. Questions? Email [email protected].
